…HEIGHTENED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON…

SOUTHWEST WINDS BETWEEN 15 AND 25 MPH WILL COMBINE WITH DRY
VEGETATION AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES BETWEEN 25 AND 30 PERCENT TO
ENHANCE THE RISK FOR UNCONTROLLED FIRES ACROSS PARTS OF CENTRAL AND
NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI THIS AFTERNOON. PERSONS SHOULD AVOID BURNING
AND USE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN DEALING WITH FLAMMABLE MATERIALS AND
OUTDOOR GRILLING ACTIVITIES. THE FIRE DANGER WILL DIMINISH THIS
EVENING AS WINDS DECREASE AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY INCREASES.

Interesting in Volunteering? We are looking for men and women interested in serving their community. Feel free to ask any of the current firefighters or EMS personnel in the county, or send an e-mail to get more information. We are actively looking for new personnel, with or without prior experience in the fire and EMS service.
